The Continuing Joys of Parenthood
It's 4:30 in the morning.
Why am I awake at this unholy hour?
Because my son is leaving on a school overnighter to Valdez this morning and I lost the coin toss with my wife on who gets to get up early and take him to the bus.
Coincidentally, I too was up at an ungodly early hour this morning (8am), though in my case it was to take the car to the shop, because that's when they wanted to schedule the appointment. Thus we were actually both awake at the same time! :D
It never ends, does it? My 16 month old woke me up at 6 AM the other day. I wanted to beat my husband with an ugly stick because I lost rock paper scissors lmao.
My dog has never had to leave at 4:30 for a school trip. Cats either. Though none of them are any good at mowing the lawn.
