The Stupid Cat
For the curious, Stupid is doing better.
He's still taking antibiotics and he still has a shitty attitude, but at least he's stopped shredding my wallet for the moment.

It just proves the point. Dogs have owners, cats have staff.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Cats may have staff, but what they need is medical insurance.
ReplyDeleteJust started reading your blog... gotta do it at home or I piss of my Repub boss. Just wanted to tell you - you probably know by now - there are several companies that offer per insurance, including the one I signed up with... which is bitterly regretting doing business with me.

If you don't watch out Stupid will be requesting his own personal trainer...
ReplyDeleteMy employer offers health insurance for your family pets.
ReplyDeleteSee, Tania, since I'm my own employer, you can just keep that kind of shit to yourself :)
ReplyDeleteHere, Kitty kitty - come over and play in my rusty fishhook collection. j/k Did you try singing to him in Icelandic? Glad he's better, anyway.

My employer offers health insurance for your family pets.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like an offer to me. ;)
Glad to hear Stupid is doing better, and has (apparently) left the name "Leaky" behind.
That is a rather vacuous look.
ReplyDeleteGlad your wallet is no longer bleeding. :)
Jim - Check with your vet about the pet insurance, it's been available here in Georgia for a few years now. It will also depend on the insurance laws in your state.
ReplyDeleteGlad Stupid is getting better and has taken his claws out of your wallet.

Wendy, we've looked into it. We've got 3 cats and a dog - the cost of covering all of them is prohibitively expensive.
ReplyDeleteAlso, on a completely unrelated note, 22cal short pistol rounds are about 9 cents.
what?
That look is not unlike the bug-eyed look that Janiece's houseguest has.
ReplyDeleteAmazon sells a book called "101 Uses for a Dead Cat" 7 bucks and free shipping. You could have saved $993.00 and had really custom Swiffer duster.
ReplyDeleteAnne, I tend to think of that look as "vacuous."
ReplyDeleteI suspect Janiece's guests have more of a stunned look...
Understand completely, the economy being what it is at the moment.
ReplyDeleteHopefully those won't be neccessary for a while since Stupid's now had his 150,000 mile check-up and parts replacement!

You can get medical insurance for them on your own at fairly reasonable rates. Googling 'animal health insurance' nets you pages full of providers.
