Rainy Caturday

image

This cat will kill you, but first he needs to take a nap.

Take the time to prepare yourself.

I'm going to be away from the keyboard for a while today. Sorry about that kids.

There will be a post later about the recent Prop 8 ruling in California. I've got the snark, and I'm not afraid to use it.

In the meantime feel free to play with the cat. Bandaids and Betadine are in the medicine chest in the downstairs bathroom. Have fun. Oh, and keep your guard up, he likes to go for the eyes.

  1. What's with all the cats lately? Did Chang who isn't someone else invade while we weren't watching?

Man. Now I feel the need to put pictures of my cats up on my site.

  2. I swear, Steve, just as soon as I meet deadline, I'll post something other than the damned cat pictures.

...of course, the cats may be interfering with my ability to meet the deadllines in order to advance their own agenda. Yeah. That's it. Bastards.

  3. Also, I'd like to point out that earlier in the week I published a picture of a bear, and some goats.

  4. This cat is a LOT bigger than the pictures of those bears 'n goats. i can see that this is a cat, even without it being circled.

    What?

  6. MWT, I had to turn my head sideways to realize that was the cat on its side.

  8. Mensley, thanks for that. I love chickweed lane, but haven't read it in a long time, and have never seen the Hallmarks all in one place.

  9. I was happy to find this. It's a great comic, with some of the best art out there in its format. It can be hit or miss, but returns to "hit" often enough that I keep reading.

He can sometimes stretch a storyline out way past the point of caring for such a format, but the fact that he actually *has* storylines is a plus.

  10. McEldowney cracks me up. It's the expressions on the characters that does it for me - the story line is almost incidental - for me anyway. Perfect example is the expression on Jillete's face in the Hallmarks of Felinity #13, Sharing.

It's the same with Mutts, I often find Pat McDonnel's squishy animal rights agenda annoying, but that stupid cat with its stiff little pipe-cleaner arms just plan kills me. Well, that and the squirrels...

  11. Apparently they're now un-numbered:

  12. You're right about his gift with expressions, I often find myself cracking up at the visuals more often than the words.

I guess that's what I love about his Felinity series, he completely captures the weirdness of living with cats and how they seem to go from dignity to goofy to crazy and back again.
