When you factor in the population decraeses from a nuclear war and the fact that this stimulus bill is 90% pork and 10% stimulus, you get remarkably the same number, definitely the same order of magnitude, ~ $20 - 100 billion to restart the economy. Unfortunately, our grandkids are going to spend their lives paying off the principal on the loan for the pork.John the Scientisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03467337009577733553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8243351006478134285.post-47177905327005275062009-02-17T13:54:00.000-06:002009-02-17T13:54:00.000-06:00Just saw this cartoon from Saturday:http://ars.use...Just saw this cartoon from Saturday:

http://ars.userfriendly.org/cartoons/?id=20090214

And to continue the theme of the post, wasn't "Containment" one of the classic cold-war strategies?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8243351006478134285.post-86057321786894992872009-02-17T10:03:00.000-06:002009-02-17T10:03:00.000-06:00Well, sometimes it really is cheaper to tear somet...Well, sometimes it really is cheaper to tear something down and build from scratch rather than support something with no remaining structural integrity.
